We are excited to hear about your interest in starting a Students Against Trafficking Club at your high school or college.
We believe the young people of this generation are essential in the fight to end human trafficking and are grateful for your desire to enlist others in the fight against modern-day slavery.
Before we can move forward creating a club at your school we need you to do the following:
Step 1: Check for Pre-Existing Anti-Trafficking Clubs
It is possible someone has already started an anti-trafficking club at your school. Find out from your school!
Step 2: Research How to Start a Club at Your School
Every school has a different procedure for starting a club, so you will need to work directly with your school to complete the process of starting a club. You will want to research things like: Are there guidelines to follow regarding how often clubs meet or how clubs function at your school? Do most clubs meet during lunch or after school? Do they meet once a week or once a month?
Step 3: Find a Faculty Advisor
You will need to find a faculty member at your school willing to be your club advisor.
Step 4: Submit a Student Leader Application with O.U.R.
COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY: Student Leader/President Application for College Students
Step 5: Become Official With your School.
After we reach out with approval of your application we will instruct you to become official with your school. We will send you a form to get signed by your school’s administration to verify your school acknowledges your club.
Once you have submitted an application with us we will get back to you within 5-7 business days.
Thank you for your desire to be an abolitionist and fight against modern-day slavery. Your efforts will make a difference in the lives of children around the world.
And please let us know if you have any questions!
