Denver Volunteer Team Contact Me
It was 2009 and someone recommended that Monica see the movie Human Trafficking with Mira Sorvino and Donald Sutherland. She got herself a bucket of popcorn and engaged in a four hour awareness journey that would change her life forever. When the movie was over, she could not move. It was a feeling of shock, anger, sadness, fear and injustice. All condensed in one. Monica grew up in countries such as Argentina, Brazil and Costa Rica, aware of the poverty resembled in parts of the movie, but knowing nothing of the dangers the children endured in these risk prone areas. Monica saw Tim Ballard on TV in October 2014. Watching Tim for less than 20 minutes convinced her that she had to follow his movement and help his efforts in any way she could. Monica says the volunteer teams at O.U.R. are one of the best teams she has every participated in. The energy, the good vibes, the conviction and focus this volunteer group emanates is contagious.
